Users are hereby informed that cookies may be installed automatically on their browser when they visit the Site. A “cookie” is a block of data that signals a user’s connection in the form of a text file that may be installed, depending on your preferences, in a dedicated space on your hard drive or storage of your computer or device, when accessing online service on the Site. A Cookie allows its sender to identify the Device on which it is installed, for the period in which the Cookie is valid or installed.

By configuring your browser settings, you can find out if cookies are being used and how to refuse them below:

Cookies that we use allow us to:

  • develop visitor and usage statistics for a range of elements on our Site (e.g. page visits, content viewed, browsing activity, etc.), which we can use to make our Services more attractive and user-friendly;
  • adapt the presentation of our Site to your Browser settings (e.g. language, display resolution, operating system, etc.) when you visit our Site, depending on the hardware and software applications used for reading and viewing content on your Device;
  • save information provided on a form that you completed on our Site (e.g. account registration or sign-in) or in relation to products, services or information that you have selected on our Site (e.g. service subscriptions, contents in an order basket, etc.);
  • allow you to access private and personal areas of our Site, including your account, using credentials or data that you registered with us previously;
  • apply security measures, for example when you are asked to sign in again to view an item of content or a service after a certain amount of time has lapsed.

As some third-party applications are incorporated on our Site, some cookies may be sent by other entities. In such cases, third-party cookies will be sent and used in accordance with the sender’s own privacy policies.

Advertising cookies store information on users’ web browsers and may be used to identify users’ preferences or browsing activity. They allow companies to personalise advertisements that a user sees, based on their activity on the websites they visit, but also on other websites that use the same advertising company. Share buttons on social media sites (e.g. “Like” on Facebook, “+1” on Google, etc.) allow us to track your activity in the same way and offer targeted advertising.

You can enable and configure cookies in a number of ways. Changes that you make to your cookies configuration may affect your online browsing experience and your conditions for accessing services that require the use of cookies. You may set and amend your cookies preferences at any time as described below.

You can delete all cookies, or only those that you wish to delete. Deleting cookies does not prevent you from browsing, or reinstalling cookies while browsing. This allows you to control what cookies are installed on your browser at all times. Technical cookies are necessary for browsing and will be reinstalled when you visit our Site.

All browsers now offer “Private Browsing” mode, which allows you to browse without saving the pages you visited or your downloads. All cookies saved during your browsing session will be deleted when you close your browser. Cookies are not refused when browsing in Private mode, but are instead limited to the duration of your session.
Users have all the aforementioned rights over personal data shared using cookies under the conditions set out above. Users of www.leplaisir.fr must adhere to provisions in the French Data Protection Act (78-17) of 6 January 1978 (amended); failure to do so may result in criminal penalties.
